MARYNA GRADNOVA COSTUME DESIGNER ARTIST

Costume Designer | Visual Artist | Creator of Fieriness
I design for movement, emotion, and transformation.
With over 25 years of experience in costume construction, tailoring, and visual storytelling, my practice bridges technical mastery and expressive artistry. I create costumes and ink-based artworks that embody intensity, fluidity, and psychological depth.
My work is rooted in character — not just how a figure looks, but how they breathe, move, and exist within space. Whether designing for stage, film, or conceptual projects, I approach each creation as a living presence shaped by narrative, texture, and gesture.
As the creator of Fieriness, my signature ink technique, I explore impermanence, energy, and the raw force of emotion. This sensibility informs both my costume design and fine art practice — where fabric, line, and form become vessels of transformation.
I collaborate closely with directors, performers, and creative teams to build cohesive visual worlds. From first sketch to final fitting, every detail is considered — silhouette, material, rhythm, and light.
Costume is not decoration.
It is storytelling in motion.
